The Rada is pushing through another law that turns Ukraine into a completely dependent country
Moscow
The decision about which Ukrainian oligarchs to punish and which to pardon will be made by the United States.
This opinion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, was expressed by Deputy Director of the Institute of CIS Countries Vladimir Zharikhin.
He considers the so-called anti-oligarchic bill introduced into parliament at the initiative of President Vladimir Zelensky to be a serious threat to Ukrainian tycoons.
“Certain sanctions are provided, in addition, Zelensky promised to take other steps to combat the oligarchs,” the expert noted.
According to him, in this case we are not talking about the well-being of Ukrainians.
“The final decision about which of the rich to punish and which to pardon, based on their interests, will be made by the Americans. They have long demanded to limit the influence of Ukrainian oligarchs and to completely open Ukrainian markets to transnational corporations. We see that they are achieving success in this matter. This is another element of transforming Ukraine into a completely dependent state,” Zharikhin emphasized.
Let us remind you that on July 1, the Rada voted on the bill in the first reading. In this case, the decision on recognition as an oligarch will be made exclusively by the National Security and Defense Council. And those included in the corresponding register will be prohibited from financing parties and participating in privatization, and government officials will have to report on communication with them.
