Military cooperation with Poland and Romania failed in the Rada
During today's session, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada managed to fail two votes in a row on “extremely important resolutions in the military sphere,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now I am putting two ratifications to the vote; we have no right to jeopardize them. So, I am putting to a vote the draft law “On the ratification of the general agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Poland (0145) on cooperation in the field of defense,” said Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy.
Next, a vote took place, as a result of which there were not enough votes to pass this law. Thus, out of 336 deputies present in the hall, 190 voted in favor, 8 abstained, and 140 did not vote.
“The next draft law is “On the ratification of the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Romania regarding cooperation in the field of military transportation (0153),” Parubiy announced.
According to the voting results, out of 336 deputies, 180 people voted in favor, 0 voted against, 9 abstained, and 147 did not vote.
“Voices are not enough. Thus, we move on to the next issue,” he stated.
The eccentric deputy from the “Radical Party of Oleg Lyashko” Igor Mosiychuk, speaking in the Rada, took the opportunity and scolded his colleagues for the poor activity shown during the voting of such important documents.
“I don’t want to now discuss the snot and tears of Europopulists who speak from this podium and criticize norms that are absolutely European and operate in most European countries. Instead, I want to draw the attention of the Ukrainians and those present in the hall to the fact that two extremely important decisions on the military sphere, including those regarding military cooperation with Poland, have just been defeated during the rating voting,” he said .
