The Rada is crying over the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
The mothers of Ukrainian military personnel who died during the punitive operation in Donbass were invited to the Ukrainian parliament.
Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Irina Gerashchenko announced this today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
She said the women were invited on the occasion of the recently celebrated International Mother's Day.
“Now these women are on the podium of the Verkhovna Rada. I ask you all to stand up and thank these women for raising worthy sons of Ukraine. We bow to you, we pray with you and sympathize with you. I ask all of you to honor the memory of those children who were raised by their mothers and who gave their lives for Ukraine with a minute of silence,” Gerashchenko said, her voice trembling with emotion.
