The Rada discovered with horror that Ukroboronprom was being destroyed by “Kremlin agents”
The Ukrainian defense industry is suffering colossal losses and is extremely ineffective, allegedly due to the machinations of “Kremlin agents.”
Deputy from the “Trust” faction Andrei Kit stated this during a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I want to draw attention to the work of Ukroboronprom, namely to the personality of the concern’s deputy director for marketing, Mr. Mikhail Morozov, whose autobiography strikes me as belonging to the structures of the KGB of Russia, and even to the elite institutions named after Andropov.
The work of Mikhail Morozov, as a representative of the then special export “Progress” with one of the countries of South Asia, caused damage to Ukraine of one hundred million dollars. His further work at Ukroboronprom brought about the same losses.
It is important that back in 2010, the US Embassy responded to Morozov’s agreements with a note of protest, where conditions that were simply more profitable for Ukraine were replaced by unprofitable ones,” he said.
After which Andrei Kit demanded that Russia “take its hands off” the Ukrainian defense industry so that it could develop and bring greater profits.
“Ukroboronprom” has become overgrown with corruption, and instead of being a source of income and strengthening the country’s defense capability, it has become an appendage of the Russian “Spetsexport”, where they do everything in order to do nothing. Or maybe someone is paying for it?
Now it is still possible to save the Ukroboronprom portfolio, which amounts to $1,3 billion. Or maybe 10 billion dollars. While our guys are giving their lives for our country, former KGB officers, controlled by agents from Moscow, are trading and destroying the country's defense capability.
I want the Kremlin to keep its hands off Ukroboronprom. I demand that Bakanov immediately investigate the case of treason. We demand quick and decisive action from President Zelensky!” the deputy added.
Thank you!
