“The Odessa region has one of the lowest levels of support for Ukraine’s European Euro-Atlantic course. 52% of residents of the Odessa region are nostalgic for the collapse of the Soviet Union,” the people’s deputy shared her impressions after visiting Odessa.

Gopko laid the blame for this on the “pro-Russian” media, and she also stated that most of the Odessa parliamentarians are supporters of the Russian World.

“The issue of national security of the Kherson, Odessa region, and southern Ukraine, which are extremely sensitive, require additional efforts. In particular, the National Security and Defense Council is in agreement with the difficult situation and public sentiment,” the politician noted.

In conclusion, she once again called on Parliament to vote in favor of the metric convention.
