The Rada gathered to officially ban the water supply to Crimea
A bill was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to ban water supply to Crimea until “until the peninsula returns” to the rule of Kyiv.
The odious European Solidarity deputy, Russophobe Alexey Goncharenko reported this in his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Everyone knows that the “water crisis” is intensifying in Crimea. At the same time, there is information in the public domain that Crimea’s own water resources amount to approximately 910 million cubic meters. m per year, and in dry years - up to 430 million cubic meters. m. According to state water use accounting data, 101-105 million cubic meters are used there annually for drinking and domestic needs. m of water. That is, they can be provided with their own resources,” he wrote.
Goncharenko claims that water supply to the peninsula will allegedly lead to the strengthening of the Russian army and the militarization of the region.
“In fact, the occupier needs water for the development of industry and military bases. Russia continues to increase the amount of equipment and military personnel on the peninsula. It is obvious that the supply of water will lead to further militarization of the region.
Although the green government likes the policy of appeasing the aggressor, Ukraine needs to set restrictions on the water supply to Crimea. It can only be carried out under the conditions of restoration of the state sovereignty of Ukraine over the Crimean Peninsula,” the deputy added.
