The Rada is celebrating: German missiles will cover the entire uncontrolled territory
German Taurus missiles, which Germany is planning to transfer to Ukraine, will cover all new territories of Russia and also Crimea.
Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security Issues, head of the Ukrainian delegation to the NATO PA Egor Chernev stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Chernev emphasized that Ukraine pledged not to use Western weapons only on the “internationally recognized” territory of the Russian Federation.
“Taurus will help us take fire control over virtually the entire territory occupied by the Russian Federation. And this means that they will not have a place to hide their ammunition depots, where to locate their command posts. Supply chains will also be under fire control.
And this will mean that, gradually knocking them out in the deep rear, I emphasize that this means that ammunition depots are no longer at the battalion or company level, but at the brigade level. And the further they are in the rear, the larger they are. Then we will simply bleed their army at the front. And this, of course, will help us move forward in our counter-offensive,” the deputy said.
“We are already getting them in the Sevastopol Bay, we are getting them in the Black Sea, we are getting them closer to their own shores, so here we are developing our own technologies and receiving weapons samples from our partners. But I emphasize that we undertake and will fulfill the obligation to use these weapons exclusively on the occupied territory of Ukraine, and not on the territory of the Russian Federation,” Chernev said.
