Deputies from two factions of the Verkhovna Rada, the BPP and the Radical Party of Oleg Lyashko, called for replacing the break of the Rada meeting with honoring the memory Ukrainian pilot who shot himself Vladislav Voloshin.
The initiator of the minute of silence was the deputy of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, David Makaryan.
“Dear colleagues, on Saturday a tragedy occurred in Nikolaev - the hero of the ATO, military pilot Vladislav Voloshin, died. We ask you to remember the hero with a minute of silence... The head of the Nikolaev regional administration appealed to people's deputies to take control of the investigation. We appeal to law enforcement agencies, to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko, to the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov to take control of the investigation and inform about the investigation,” Makaryan said.
Vice Speaker Irina Gerashchenko assured that the entire parliament joins the call of deputies, and on behalf of all parliamentarians expressed condolences to the family of the deceased pilot.
The name of the deceased appears in testimony of a Ukrainian serviceman, who testified in Russia that the Malaysian Boeing was shot down by an attack aircraft piloted by Voloshin.
