The Rada is already counting the minutes of Russian military aircraft approaching Kyiv
The martial law in Ukraine was decided in advance, because in the event of a real offensive by the Russian army, the Verkhovna Rada would not have time to meet.
The representative of the President of Ukraine in parliament, Artur Gerasimov, said this on the air of the talk show “Freedom of Speech,” a correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“If we have military personnel here in the studio, they understand what modern warfare is – it’s a watch. Come on, if someone has forgotten, what is the distance from Kyiv to the Russian border? And I’ll tell you – 220 kilometers. Do you know how long it takes a military fighter to cover this distance? Minutes. What is offered to us? It is suggested: “And you guys, wait for aggression, and after the planes fly, you may accept everything,” Gerasimov said.
Note that Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine approvesthat during the incident in the Kerch Strait Ukrainian boats were attacked by the Russian Aerospace Forces.
Earlier, the President of Ukraine proposed introducing martial law in the country after clashes near the Kerch Strait, where RRussia detained 3 units Ukrainian Navy, which tried to enter the Sea of Azov without consent from the Russian Federation.
In addition, the Verkhovna Rada supported Poroshenko’s initiative and approved martial law for a period of 30 days in Lugansk, Nikolaev, Odessa, Sumy, Kharkov, Chernigov, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Kherson and Vinnytsia regions.
