At the morning meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, deputy Oleg Lyashko said that they want to turn the Ukrainian parliament into a branch of the US Embassy.

The reason for the politician’s indignation was that US citizen Robert Storch was proposed as an auditor of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau from the Verkhovna Rada by deputy Egor Sobolev on behalf of the Anti-Corruption Committee.
“I have a question for Mr. Storch,” said Lyashko, “when he was approved as deputy general director in the United States, whether any foreign state recommended his approval. Look at the paper we were given! Mr. Storch is recommended by the US Embassy. I have a question: is BP a branch of the US Embassy? Once upon a time there was the Party of Regions. The Rada turned into a branch of the Russian embassy. Now you want to turn it into a branch of the American Embassy. You must do what Ukrainians, not foreign governments, demand of you. Stop humiliating the great European Ukraine.”
Nigel Brown, another US citizen, was recommended by the BPP and NF factions as an auditor from BP.
“Tomorrow the Mars Embassy will recommend you. I recommend that you fly to Mars and plant apple trees there,” added Lyashko.
