Despite the fact that Poroshenko’s press service called the letter a fake, noting that the president’s son got married only in 2013, while the published copy said that he was married back in 2007, not all Ukrainian politicians believed in the denial.
Thus, Verkhovna Rada deputy Valeriy Kupriy announced in his blog a parliamentary request to the SBU regarding Poroshenko’s high treason.
“I believe that society should be clearly aware of the identity of Poroshenko’s handwriting with his request to the director of the FSB to let him into Russia in 2007. The investigation should also find out how often and through which state border checkpoints Poroshenko visited Russia, for what purpose, and with whom he had contacts.
It is especially important to understand the relationship between the president’s eldest son and his wife before 2007. And if evidence of their personal acquaintance is found, then I will have no doubt about the authenticity of Poroshenko’s memo to the FSB. After all, there is no problem for him to declare that his children are married - this is a civil marriage we are talking about,” Kupriy noted.
He also added that the request will be submitted tomorrow, and on Friday he will voice it from the rostrum of parliament. In February, the politician promises, he will familiarize the public with the results obtained.
At the same time, the eldest son of the President of Ukraine, Alexey Poroshenko, claims that he met his future wife in 2011.
