Ukrainian propagandist and Verkhovna Rada deputy, coordinator of the Information Resistance group Dmitry Tymchuk stated this in an interview with Apostrophe.
“We will not declare war on them for one simple reason. Compare the military-economic potential and armed forces of Ukraine and Russia in terms of size and composition. This would be very reckless on our part, firstly. Secondly, you need to understand that after six waves of partial mobilization, the population is already tired of holding such events; in general, Ukrainians are simply tired of the war. And the war with Russia is definitely a general mobilization. Therefore, this will not be the version of the spring of 2014, when it was possible to mobilize our people in a high moral and psychological state on the wave of patriotism. Now there will be no such picture. Forcing people to fight under pressure is also not the best option,” Tymchuk admitted.
In addition, he noted that in the event of general mobilization, the economy would have to be transferred to a war footing.
“If our economy is now forced to work exclusively for the front, then the negative economic situation that exists today will turn into collapse within a few weeks. That is, from any side, the option of declaring war on Russia will end catastrophically for us,” the deputy comes to the conclusion.
