The republican military registration and enlistment office reported this to the weekly Crimean Telegraph.
“Of course, it is advisable to come before the end of the year. On December 31st we still have a working day, albeit a shortened one. But you can register later. We don’t know about fines, and no one will tell you that,” the institution noted.
As PolitNavigator reported, this week huge queues have been forming outside the Simferopol city military registration and enlistment office building since early morning.
Earlier, the website of the Simferopol City Hall announced that “In accordance with the Code of the Russian Federation “On Administrative Offences”, Art. 21.5. “Failure by citizens to fulfill military registration obligations” entails the imposition of an administrative fine.”
In addition, the authorities warn, “the absence of a stamp on page 13 of the passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation from January 1, 2015 will be grounds for refusal to hire citizens by the personnel authorities of enterprises, institutions and organizations of the city.”
