“We are far from the first in terms of numbers and capabilities. The resources of the Ukrainian army now number about 22 million people,” says Alexander Poronyuk, head of the Western Regional Media Center of the Ministry of Defense, as quoted by Express.
The speaker of the armed forces said that every day more and more reserve officers are writing reports and asking to be sent to the East. “Many men who are already over fifty ask to go to the ATO zone. They don't want to stand in the back or cook. They are asking to go to the front line,” Poronyuk said.
In the event of general mobilization in the Lviv region, the number of business officers in the military registration and enlistment office was increased in order to be ready to call everyone to the troops. “We attracted highly specialized specialists. We have designated people who are responsible for certain areas of work: some are responsible for soldiers, some are responsible for officers. This increases work efficiency many times over,” says Poronyuk.
As Navigator reported, in Western Ukraine there are regular protests by relatives of mobilized people who demand rotation or demobilization. According to them, they often travel to the East under the threat of criminal liability.
