In the Russian Federation they will restore for Belarus what Ukraine abandoned
Russia and Belarus want to increase the capacity of the Oktyabrskaya Railway in the direction of the ports of St. Petersburg in order to improve the logistics of Belarusian goods.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced this today at a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Millions and millions, tens of tons of Belarusian cargo have been redirected from the ports of the Baltic states to St. Petersburg, Murmansk, and the Black Sea ports. But there is tension. Therefore, we decided that the railway should work more intensively.
There, at the first stage, a little money is needed to restore the routes. They were, but when Ukraine moved away from transit in the St. Petersburg direction, what happened was what happened,” Lukashenko said.
