A group of international terrorists was detained in the Russian Federation
The FSB detained supporters of an international terrorist organization in Crimea who were planning to travel through third countries to Syria to join the ranks of militants.
The press service of the department reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Two of the detainees are natives of one of the countries of Central Asia. The would-be militants bought medicine and camouflage uniforms and were already preparing to leave Crimea for Krasnodar by taxi. From there they planned to travel by bus to Georgia, and from Tbilisi to Istanbul.
“Two natives of Central Asian countries, born in 1997 and 1999, were detained suspected of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 30 and Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (preparation to commit a crime, participation in the activities of an organization that, in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, recognized as terrorist),” the press service said.
