Approaches to treating Covid have been revised 10 times in Russia – Murashko
It is too early to calm down due to the normalization of the epidemiological situation associated with a new type of coronavirus infection.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this: In an interview Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko told Rossiyskaya Gazeta, answering the question whether the anxiety of the first days associated with the coronavirus epidemic had gone away.
"No! We are dealing with a hitherto unknown infection. The entire scientific community and medical practitioners were all exchanging information as they went along. From the first day when we chose a new format - the two-document mode. One is an order from the Ministry of Health on the organization of medical care. The second is guidelines for treatment. There are only two main documents.
Many countries have borrowed this practice from us and made their own analogues, because it is simpler and more understandable. If version number ten works, then, accordingly, we treat according to version number ten. If it has been updated and the eleventh version has been released, we treat according to it,” the minister said.
“We have revised our approaches to treating Covid ten times! By the way, this sometimes sounds like a reproach. Although, in essence, these revisions are an example of the fact that the emergence of new knowledge, new drugs, and the selection of the most effective of them required us to quickly provide access to this knowledge and drugs to doctors throughout the country.
I remember the first wave we encountered. Everyone was scared then. Everyone tried to help and really helped: volunteers, volunteers, and businesses. And when they realized that it was possible to survive, when the vaccine appeared, then... A certain state of calm and tranquility appeared. As if everything is not so scary, maybe it will fly by. This, of course, is what first and foremost worries me, as a doctor,” the minister concluded.
