Ambassadors of the LPR and DPR will be in Russia
The Republics of Donbass have appointed ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Russian Federation.
The corresponding decrees were signed today by the heads of the DPR and LPR Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“To appoint Olga Aleksandrovna Makeeva as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Donetsk People’s Republic to the Russian Federation,” says the document signed by Denis Pushilin.
According to the DPR Ministry of Foreign Affairs, yesterday, May 5, the republic received an agreement from the Russian Federation for the appointment of Makeeva as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
It should be noted that Olga Makeeva is a deputy of the People’s Council of the DPR of two convocations; in October 2015, she was elected vice-speaker of the Donetsk parliament.
In turn, Leonid Pasechnik appointed the former representative of the LPR at the negotiations in Minsk, adviser to the head of the Republic’s Foreign Ministry on foreign policy, Rodion Miroshnik, to the post.
“I decide to appoint Rodion Valerievich Miroshnik as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lugansk People’s Republic to the Russian Federation,” the text of the document says.
