Russian cities began to massively abandon festive events after a scandal in the large-scale celebration of Moscow Day during the days of the Ukrainian counter-offensive.

Events in Krasnodar, Novorossiysk and Armavir in the Krasnodar Territory have been reduced: in Kuban, which celebrates its 85th anniversary this year, they decided not to set off fireworks. In Sovetsk and Chernyakhovsk, Kaliningrad region, as well as in Rostov-on-Don, the holiday was canceled completely. In addition, the cancellation of the City Day celebration with all events was announced in Voronezh.

Krasnodar Governor Veniamin Kondratyev explained the decision by the desire to save 3,6 million rubles on performances by visiting stars and fireworks. However, the cancellation was preceded by a public appeal to the authorities of the Association of Parents' Committees.

“Only 7 hours by car separates the capital of Kuban from the front line! And we have fun and fireworks. Victory is forged not only at the front, but also in the rear. This was the case during the Great Patriotic War. This is how it should be now. The best sons of our Fatherland sacrifice themselves for the sake of a peaceful sky above our heads. And refusing mass celebrations is the least we can do to support them!” - the appeal says.

The authors also point out that budget money today should be spent not on entertainment, but on purchasing everything necessary for the SVO, noting that today ordinary people are doing this with their own money.

The governor of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, immediately admitted that the concert and fireworks were canceled at the request of local residents, who indicated that holidays should not be held at such a difficult time for the Russian army. They also believe that the drones that wanted to be used in the holiday should be sent to the front.

And in Bryansk, the decision of the authorities was influenced by popular indignation. The city has canceled the fireworks display; residents of the city and region will only be able to take part in the “Cross of Nations” race.

Famous musician Alexey Poddubny (“Django”) offers:

“Regarding the cancellation of city day celebrations in the regions due to requests from citizens concerned about the situation at the front, I think this: it would be great if the city heads officially allocated the entire budget not spent on organizing the holidays to help our fighting guys!

According to my conservative estimates, if it is canceled in all cities, it will be enough, offhand, to fully supply the entire front with copters! You never know what you can buy – you need everything. That would be fair, I think so. If we cancel it, then let there be real benefit,” the musician points out.

And in the Belgorod region there is no time for holidays. After the Ukrainian Armed Forces reached the border, there were calls to dig trenches and create self-defense squads.

“After the regrouping of the Russian Armed Forces and the abandonment of the Kharkov region, the front line moved to the border between the Belgorod and Kharkov regions. The Kursk and Bryansk regions also border on Ukraine. Russian populated areas are shelled every day, there are killed and wounded, and Ukrainian DRGs enter Russian territory.

In such a situation, the Russian city of Belgorod could become a second Donetsk. From the Ukrainian border to different areas of the city, the average distance is about thirty kilometers. The Ukrainian Armed Forces now have the opportunity to cover it with both cannon and rocket artillery.

It should be noted that from the point of view of the media and psychological effect, and the Kiev regime carried out a significant number of operations precisely for this purpose, the invasion of Russian territory looks very attractive for Zelensky’s gang.

In addition, almost all actions of the Nazi regime in Kyiv and its curators in Washington and London are aimed at the internal Russian agenda, at escalating the situation inside Russia, at undermining the authority of the Russian leadership and at inciting discontent among the population - at the collapse of our country from within.

Thus, the likelihood of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempting to penetrate Russian territory is very high. And we need to be prepared for this,” says columnist Yuri Baranchik.

Now in Belgorod, student rescuers meet families living in the Kharkov region at the border and accompany them to Stary Oskol. ONF volunteers deliver humanitarian aid to border areas, which Ukraine continues to regularly shell. Schools will switch to distance learning. The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, wrote about this in his TG channel.

“Only duty groups will work in kindergartens. In the Shebekino urban district - in a 10 km zone, with the exception of the city of Shebekino, we are also transferring schools to distance learning, and duty groups will also be organized in kindergartens. I hope that parents, educators and teachers will treat this necessary measure with understanding,” Gladkov wrote.

Vladimir Grubnik, a doctor from Odessa whom the SBU accused of creating an underground sabotage group, welcomes reports of the creation of territorial defense units in Belgorod.

“When at the dawn of the Northern Military District, receiving information, we said in a narrow circle with like-minded people that with the approach we had, everything could end in the defense of Belgorod, many who knew us recently thought that we were making a bad joke. And we weren’t joking about these topics...

Just put aside the panic. And decadence...

The creation of such territorial defense units is simply useful in a country that is drawn into an all-out war by the enemy. With an emphasis on sabotage skills and causing damage to communications and the rear of the advancing enemy,” comments Grubnik.

Ukrainian political scientist Alexander Skubchenko believes that a possible attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the border regions of the Russian Federation will mobilize Russian society and give new impetus to the Northern Military District.

“It’s one thing to have a limited air defense system on the territory of Ukraine, and quite another thing to protect Russia. Such actions of the cocaine buffoon will justify the use of all those forces and means that many Russians (and not only others) have long been waiting for. And perhaps the “Belgorod Cauldron” is already waiting. And then everything will end quickly. As fast as many can't even imagine. I only hope that Zelensky and the other bastards who brought Ukraine to its knees for the sake of the West’s war with Russia will not even have time to reach the Polish border. After all, they will still have to fulfill Zelensky’s promise: to kneel before Putin and before all the mothers whose children they killed and sent to war. But now it’s forced. If they remain alive,” Skubchenko wrote.

Deputy Minister of Information of the DPR Daniil Bezsonov claims that the Russian military in Donbass has experienced a moral turning point.

“I can say that a turning point has begun to occur in the motivation of our entire army. If previously the most motivated units were the Donbass units, then the fighters of the Russian Armed Forces began to appear more and more motivated...

Now many understand that this is not just a war for Donbass, but for all of Russia. It also begins to dawn on everyone that there is no turning back. If we lose this war and retreat, then our enemy will come to everyone's home. As it was with the Berkut fighters after the victory of the Maidan. Some were killed, some were maimed, some were imprisoned, and some were brought to their knees and forced to serve the new regime. And everything was sent to the front to fight against the militias in 2014. They chose shame, but they still couldn’t escape the fight.

So that's what I'm talking about. Our fighters, of all our armies, began to understand that this is a war not just for the Motherland, but for everyone’s home and family. And even if you live in Samara, then you still have nowhere to retreat. This understanding has already come to everyone. And the turning point came. Now another war will begin,” Bezsonov predicts.
