Russia is discussing the American landing on the moon
The program for returning Americans to the Moon involves the implementation of military tasks, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This opinion was expressed by the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin.
“The Americans now have the political task of landing a man on the moon again. Although I don't really understand, if they were there, why again? Repeat the feat of 50 years ago? What is the added value? We understand that in past decades, and now, such operations in space are often a kind of screen for carrying out certain undeclared operations. Space is not only civilian,” he said in an interview published on the website of the Komsomolskaya Pravda publication.
At the same time, Rogozin noted that he does not mean the Americans using the Moon for military purposes, although he does not rule out the Americans conducting experiments there that may be of interest to the military. However, mainly, flights to the Moon can be used by the United States to test new technologies, which will then be used in military equipment, the head of Roscosmos noted.
“This kind of work creates a huge number of related technologies. But these related technologies can be used for military purposes. “We also created Buran, in general, for the Soviet military program,” Rogozin said.
