A Maidan activist who has already been forgotten in Ukraine has been put on the wanted list in Russia.
A Russian court put Irma Krat on the international wanted list and sentenced to arrest in absentia the activist and former leader of the “women’s hundred” of Euromaidan Irma Krat, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
Irma Krat was charged with an attack on the Russian embassy in Kyiv in March 2016.
“The investigation established that Ukrainian citizen Irma Krat was involved in these attacks. She was put on the international wanted list, and today a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for her in absentia,” the message says.
The Sledkom press service notes that the accused, together with a group of several attackers, attacked the Russian Embassy in Kyiv from March 5 to 10, 2016, fully aware that the building was under international legal protection.
The case is being investigated under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Attack on persons or institutions enjoying international protection.”
Let us note that in Ukraine itself, Irma Krat is now a character almost forgotten by both society and the media, occasionally reminding of her existence on social networks.
