There are 14 foreign organizations recognized as “undesirable” operating in Russia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika, speaking today in the Federation Council.
“Eight of them were created in the USA, two in the UK, one each in Germany, Lithuania, Liechtenstein and Romania,” Chaika said. In 2017, four organizations were recognized as undesirable.
According to him, undesirable organizations created conditions to destabilize the socio-political situation in the country.
“They pursued an anti-Russian information policy, working to discredit elections at all levels and recognize their results as illegitimate. They initiated and coordinated the protests,” Chaika said.
