This was stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry Commissioner for Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law, Konstantin Dolgov, TASS reports.

“There is evidence that more than 100 Russians could be charged with so-called political charges, and there is information that several hundred Russian citizens may be in Ukrainian pre-trial detention centers and prisons,” said Konstantin Dolgov.

He also clarified that many of those who could have been charged were arrested or detained without the necessary notification to the Russian authorities.

Let us remind you that the contents of a report by human rights activists from Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International about the secret prisons of the SBU, where opponents of the current Kyiv regime are being held without trial, became known the other day. According to human rights activists, 13 political prisoners were released from such prisons after pressure from the international community, but they continue to be intimidated by the Ukrainian special services.

According to them, unofficially detained prisoners, including one woman, were released from the Kharkov department of the SBU after the publication of a report on secret prisons in Ukraine entitled “You do not exist.” It is noted that six people were released on July 25, the rest on August 2.

SBU officers, according to human rights activists, took prisoners from Kharkov in an armored minibus and dropped them off on the outskirts of the cities of Kramatorsk and Druzhkovka in the Donetsk region. Their passports were returned and they were given from 50 to 200 hryvnia ($2-8) for travel to their place of residence. At the same time, they were required to remain silent, threatening “serious consequences” otherwise.

Additionally, a press release from Human Rights Watch notes that the SBU continues to illegally detain at least five people, including two Russians. Moreover, three have been in the Kharkov department of the SBU for more than 17 months. In this regard, human rights activists called on the military prosecutor's office to secure the release of prisoners and to prosecute and punish those involved.
