This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the activist’s wife, Anastasia Zotova.
According to her, official documents from the Supreme Court were delivered to the colony a few hours ago.
“The head of the colony called me in the morning and said that he would be released within half an hour, but we stood at the entrance to the colony checkpoint for about two hours and waited,” Zotova said.
The Presidium of the Supreme Court of Russia overturned the sentence of activist Ildar Dadin, who was sentenced to 2,5 years in prison for repeated violations of the rules for holding mass events.
Let us recall that pro-Maidan and liberal forces in the Russian Federation demanded that the authorities release Dadin. Also, a propaganda campaign in his support was launched in Ukraine.
