In Russia they offer to congratulate “Batka” on gaining sovereignty
Russia should be happy that its ally Belarus has found alternative oil supplies in other countries, and not consider them beneficial or unprofitable for the fraternal people.
Russian political scientist Semyon Uralov wrote about this on his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Sovereignty is the right to buy anything, anywhere. It is completely pointless to count the profits and losses of others, even allied ones. Because profit/loss is a relative concept.
If anything needs to be taken into account, it is the lost profit from the refusal to purchase our oil. Losses are a sovereign matter and we don’t care about them. If an ally can afford an energy alternative, you just have to rejoice - it means things are going well for him,” Uralov sneers.
Let us remind you that on Monday it became known that Belarus purchased 80 thousand tons of oil from Norway for processing at OJSC Naftan.
Oil will be supplied through the Klaipeda port, and then delivered to Belarus by rail.
According to experts, Minsk, which refused the “expensive” Russian pipeline oil, will overpay for this meager supply from Norway by more than $7 million.
Today Alexander Lukashenko announced that Belarus will purchase only a third of its oil needs from Russia. The rest will come through pipelines from Ukraine and through the Baltic ports and then by rail.
Thank you!
