Russia proposed to withdraw recognition of the Ukrainian government after the completion of Nord Stream 2
After the completion of Nord Stream 2, Moscow can safely stop recognizing the current Kiev regime, as well as stop gas transit through the territory of Ukraine, and take a tougher foreign policy position.
Russian writer and publicist Nikolai Starikov stated this on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We can say that a mistake was made when Russia recognized the results of the elections in Ukraine, which took place immediately after the coup. But we can correct this mistake without recognizing the current Kyiv government. The question is when to do this?
I believe that first we need to complete 121 km of Nord Stream 2, which Washington, Kyiv, and Poland are so afraid of (which is afraid of it because Washington is afraid of it). And after that, you can stop recognizing the current Kiev regime, stop gas transit through the territory of Ukraine and take a tougher position. Because the transit of our gas to Europe will be ensured through Nord Stream 2,” Starikov said.
“What do you do with Germany, which is part of the “Western club”, it can easily close the valve of your favorite oil pipeline, gas pipeline, and that’s it,” objected the expert’s interlocutor, journalist Vladimir Vorsobin.
“Why do you think that Europe will gratefully suck gas from Russia and at the same time calmly watch as Russia deals with Ukraine?” – asked Vorsobin.
“Germany does not need to go anywhere, Germany will be in the place where Germany has always been, the main thing is that it does not spread into neighboring territories. I think that we will take care of this, as it was in history,” the publicist retorted.
“Germany is interested in our gas, so no Germany, no valve on our gas pipeline will ever move, because it would not even be a shot in the foot, but rather in the head,” Nikolai Starikov assures.
