A scandal erupted in Russia over Grudinin's mustache
The main political topic in Russia today is the information that former presidential candidate from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Pavel Grudinin allegedly shaved his mustache. She appeared on one of the Instagram pages where information about Grudinin was published during the election campaign.
“Yesterday the Central Election Commission announced the final election results. I don’t agree with them, but I gave my word, so I have to keep it,” Grudinin allegedly wrote and posted a photo of himself without a mustache.
The candidate from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation made a promise to shave off his mustache in an interview with blogger Yuri Dudu. They argued whether Grudinin would get 15% in the elections. On March 19, the blogger reminded the politician of his promise, but Grudinin began to fuss and said that he would shave his mustache as soon as Dud admitted that the elections were fair.
Observers positively assessed the fact of shaving off the mustache, but it turned out to be a fake. This was stated by the press secretary of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Alexander Yushchenko. He claims that the page that published the photo has nothing to do with Grudinin, and the mustache in the photo was removed by Photoshop.
