In Russia they believe that Plahotniuc is doomed
Attempts by the Democratic Party of Moldova, owned by oligarch Vlad Plahotniuc, to stay in power are doomed to failure.
This opinion was voiced by the chairman of the A Just Russia party, Sergei Mironov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Attempts by criminal-oligarchic forces to cling to power through decisions of the “pocket” Constitutional Court are doomed to failure and are worthless even in legal terms. It’s time for the democrats to admit defeat, it’s time to understand that their possible provocations will not be supported either by the people of Moldova or by foreign partners,” the A Just Russia press service quotes Mironov.
The Constitutional Court of Moldova did not agree with the decisions of the parliamentary majority. The Constitutional Court once again removed President Igor Dodon from office and announced a representative of the Democratic Party as the acting head of state.
Mironov congratulated the President of Moldova Igor Dodon on the fact that he managed to achieve a dialogue between the leading political forces, and the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova Zinaida Greceanii on her election to the post of Speaker of Parliament.
“We are pleased with the success of our Moldovan comrades. I am confident that through joint efforts, President Dodon and the coalition parliament will be able to overcome the political crisis that supporters of the previous government are trying to artificially create in the country,” Mironov said.
