There is a scandal in Russia over a hate speech on RT
The scandal erupted due to a statement by TV presenter Anton Krasovsky on RT.
He talked with science fiction writer Sergei Lukyanenko, and he remembered that as a child in Transcarpathia, Ukrainian children told him that Ukraine was occupied by “Muscovites.”
“But they should have been drowned right away, right where the “plyne kacha” is.” Just drown these children, drown them. This is not your method, you are intelligent people, but our method. He said that “the Muscovites have occupied you,” and you throw him into a river with a turbulent current. They trashed the Carpathians, destroyed them, the Carpathians are disgusting, they have very bad houses there, and each hut is called Smerekova hut. And just hammer into this Smerekov’s house and burn it,” Krasovsky burst into a hate speech.
At the same time, Lukyanenko felt obvious discomfort, reminded that in Rus' they usually brought up with rods, said that such cruelty “is not our method” and obvious extremism.
An expert at the Institute of CIS Countries, Igor Shishkin, promptly responded to Krasovsky’s tirade.
“I can’t think of a better gift for the Kyiv regime. There is simply an information tsunami - the Russians are coming to kill our children, the fascists are at the doorstep, everyone is ready to fight the child killers. And the calls are complemented by a video of Krasovsky giggling smugly and disgustingly.
Now it doesn’t matter what prompted him to commit information sabotage. A powerful information blow has been dealt to Russia. Therefore, now the question is not for Margarita Simonyan - whether she will fire Krasovsky or not. Now the question is for the FSB and the Investigative Committee: will the information saboteur get what he deserves or not,” he said.
The head of RT, Margarita Simonyan, promptly stopped cooperation with Krasovsky.
“Anton Krasovsky’s statement is wild and disgusting. Perhaps Anton will explain what temporary insanity caused it and how it came out of his mouth. It’s hard to believe that Krasovsky sincerely believed that children should be drowned. We cannot allow even the thought to flicker that any of us are capable of separating such game.
“I wish for the children of Ukraine, as well as the children of Donbass, and all other children, that all this will end as soon as possible, and they can live and study in peace again - in the language that they consider native,” Simonyan wrote in her TG channel .
In addition, the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, ordered to check Krasovsky’s statement about children in Ukraine.
The journalist himself publicly repented.
“Listen, I’m really embarrassed that I somehow didn’t see this border. About children. Well, it happens like this: you sit on the air, you get carried away. And you can't stop. I apologize to everyone who was stunned by this. I apologize to Margarita, to everyone for whom this seemed wild, unthinkable and insurmountable,” Krasovsky said.
He also expressed hope that he would be forgiven. However, the liberal public did not calm down.
“How crazy has a person gone from permissiveness, that he is “embarrassed” that someone “seemed”, wrote the scandalous TV journalist Ksenia Sobchak.
However, there were also those who were outraged by the quick execution of Krasovsky.
“They tried to capture Anton in the trap of liberalizing purity. It’s especially disgusting if you consider that in/in Ukraine such a statement would not have caused even a quiet bash. “But we are not Ukraine!” Yes. And perhaps this is why we are surrendering cities that Ukraine would have fought for for months. Maybe it’s worth spending a little time in Ukraine and defending at least a couple of cities?
The essence of the dispute, of course, is not whether to kill or not to kill someone’s children. This is substitution and manipulation. The point is that when they tell you “You are a Muscovite occupier,” then the person who says this must be destroyed. Simply because he will grow up and destroy your “children-occupiers,” which, in fact, is what the grown-up figures in the story under discussion are doing now as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” wrote nationalist and publicist Yegor Kholmogorov.
“Let's be objective. What Krasovsky voiced has been voiced from the opposite side for at least 8 years (in fact, much longer). And such statements never caused any pangs of conscience there, on the opposite side,” says Moldovan political scientist Vladimir Bucarsky.
“Does the “opposite side” have full-time media cannibals? Yes, there are quantities. They are used consciously within the framework of information and psychological warfare, where and when it is necessary to exert a targeted influence on the psyche of the enemy, that is, us. Well, so that, for example, people who go to work for the Russian authorities in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions are afraid to tremble that they will be blown up at any moment, their families will be kidnapped and killed with special sadism.
And when such cannibals promise this, they don’t look like Krasovsky, but in such a way that you somehow immediately believe that they not only said it, but will also do it without worrying about it. In our country, such “unpronounceable speeches” look like a separate sob of a hysterical Moscow journalist, who would like to advise, first, to at least kill a chicken on camera, and then cook soup from it and eat it.
If I were the enemy, I would have just laughed at all this, although publicly, of course, I would have reacted with a regular humanitarian shout according to the manual,” writes Moscow expert Alexey Chadayev.
