Fighter drones are being developed in Russia
Fighter drones can protect the sky behind Russian lines from attack UAVs. Military analyst, former colonel of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Mikhail Khodarenok, stated this on Vesti FM, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Khodarenok, they can also work on the basis of artificial intelligence, and such developments are already underway.
«If it is flying, for example, an unmanned aerial vehicle of relatively low cost, then it should probably not be attacked by a supersonic fighter with a take-off weight of 50 tons, equipped with missiles with a firing range of 200 kilometers. And it should be attacked by the same unmanned aerial vehicle, controlled by an automated control system and equipped not with some mega-super weapon, but with ordinary shotguns, so that it would fly up to it, fire two volleys of buckshot and ground this device.
Again, looking far ahead, this device can even be controlled by artificial intelligence.
But such work is underway, I want to say right away“- said Khodarenok.
