A criminal case has been opened in Russia against the head of the SBU Nalivachenko for kidnapping and slander.
Moscow, December 19 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case against the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Valentin Nalyvaichenko.

“He is suspected of committing crimes under the Part. 2, 3, 5 art. 128-1, part 3 art. 33 hours 1 tbsp. 356, part 3 art. 33 hours 3 tbsp. 144, part 3 art. 33 clause “a” part 3 of article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (slander, organization of the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare, obstruction of the legitimate professional activity of a journalist, kidnapping),” it says in the text of the statement on website CК.
According to the investigation, Nalyvaichenko, acting in concert with the heads of the security forces of Ukraine, using the forces and means of the SBU, during the armed conflict in Donbass, organized the abduction of citizens of the Russian Federation who did not participate in the armed conflict - journalists of the Life News TV channel Oleg Sidyakin and Marat Saichenko.
In addition, on June 14, 2014, at a checkpoint on the Donetsk-Dnepropetrovsk highway near the settlement. Pokrovskoye Nalyvaichenko organized the capture and abduction of journalists of the Zvezda television and radio company Evgeny Davydov and Nikita Konashenkov.
“In addition, during the armed conflict in the south-east of Ukraine, SBU officers, on the instructions of Nalyvaichenko, tortured, tormented and brutally beat captured civilians who did not support the Kyiv authorities,” the Investigative Committee emphasized.
As PolitNavigator reported, Russia had previously opened criminal cases against a number of Ukrainian officials. Thus, proceedings were opened against the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, ex-Minister of Defense Valery Geletey, the leader of the Right Sector Dmitry Yarosh and the governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region Igor Kolomoisky.
