US President Donald Trump posted a threatening message on his Twitter.
“Russia promises to shoot down any missiles fired at Syria. Get ready, Russia, because they will come. Good, new and “smart”! You should not have collaborated with a gas animal - a murderer who kills his people and enjoys it! " – Trump wrote, accusing Moscow of supporting Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova responded to this on her Facebook.
“Smart missiles should fly towards terrorists, and not towards the legitimate government, which has been fighting international terrorism on its territory for several years,” Zakharova wrote.
Famous TV presenter Olga Skabeeva noted in her telegram channel the strange timing of the tweet.
