A TV channel banned in Ukraine has been closed in Russia
The Russian TV channel Life will work on Friday, August 18, for the last day, after which its broadcast will be stopped.

About it TASS agency said a source in the News Media holding, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Other projects of the holding are being preserved, the source added.
Petersburg Flashnord edition reported that all employees of the TV channel were notified of the dismissal.

Broadcasting of the sister TV channel Life78 in St. Petersburg has already been stopped.
The Life TV channel (formerly LifeNews) went on air in 2013, becoming part of a multimedia information and entertainment project.
On August 16, 2017, the RBC publication reported that the TV channel was stopping the production of information materials and was cutting staff.
Let us note that in Ukraine the broadcasting of the TV channel was banned on August 19, 2014. LifeNews journalists were accused of spreading war propaganda on the territory of Ukraine for reporting from the combat zone in Donbass.
