Vandals who are planning to dismantle the famous Kakhovka monument “Legendary Cart” can make good money from this idea. The monument is cast from bronze and weighs about 60 tons, which will allow you to earn at least 60 thousand dollars when cutting it.

Former Kherson social activist Gennady Sivak, who lives in Crimea, stated this in a commentary to PolitNavigator.

He emphasized that the so-called decommunizers risk reaching the point where they will have to undermine the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station as a result of the creation of Soviet engineers.

“Kakhovka residents themselves write on forums that together with Tachanka it is possible to demolish the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station - it was also built by the communists. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that this “Tachanka” is made of bronze. And it weighs neither more nor less, but 60 tons. That is, we are talking about a decent amount. Bronze is now accepted for a little more than a dollar per kilogram. Vandals have been eyeing Tachanka for a long time; the legs of one of the horses there have been sawed off. 60 tons of “Tachanka”, even if you take a dollar – 60 thousand dollars, a decent amount for Kakhovka,” said Sivak.

He proposed to transfer the monument to Russia to place it in Crimea.

“It would be right for the Ukrainians to hand over this Tachanka to us, since they are carrying out decommunization. Russia is the legal successor of the USSR. I would suggest that they return this “Tachanka” to us, for example, even to Crimea. Moreover, the sculptors who made it made two “Carts”. For example, at the entrance to Rostov there is also a Tachanka, but it is smaller. It would be nice to assemble these “Carts” on our territory,” the social activist said.

Earlier, PolitNavigator reported that the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory decided to dismantle famous monuments in honor of the Bolshevik heroes of the Civil War “Legendary Cart” and “Girl in an Overcoat”, installed in Kakhovka.
