The film crew of the STB TV channel, owned by the son-in-law of ex-President Leonid Kuchma, oligarch Viktor Pinchuk, was not allowed into Russia.

This was reported by Vera Savchenko, the sister of the notorious Nadezhda Savchenko, who was arrested in the Russian Federation on charges of targeting Russian journalists in the Donbass.

STB television crews were heading to Grozny, where the trial of two UNSO fighters, Nikolai Karpyuk and Stanislav Klykh, who were detained in the Russian Federation, begins today.

“They weren’t allowed in at the border. Russian services held the journalists for several hours... The film crew returned to the Ukrainian checkpoint,” Vera Savchenko reports in her blog.
