A picket in support of Ukraine was dispersed in Rostov (VIDEO)
Rostov-on-Don, August 24 (Navigator, Sergey Rulev) – On Sunday in Rostov, representatives of Russian liberal parties tried to hold a picket in support of an “independent” Ukraine.

“To congratulate Ukrainians on the 23rd anniversary of the declaration of independence, to express support for the people of Ukraine in defending territorial integrity, to inform passers-by that since 1997 there has been an agreement on friendship, cooperation and partnership between Russia and Ukraine, according to Art. 2 of which the parties respect each other’s territorial integrity and confirm the inviolability of the borders existing between them,” this is how the purpose of the picket was explained in the application for holding the action.
The main organizer of the event, Eduard Nikolaev, did not show up for the action. However, a group of like-minded white-ribbon enthusiasts came - about 10 people in total. True, it is open to come out with a poster “Ukraine, we are with you!” Only two decided.
Numerous supporters of Novorossiya gathered to oppose the liberals, who came to the event with St. George ribbons. The Ukrainian citizens present asked them not to take photographs for well-known reasons of conspiracy (many people still have families in Ukraine).
People chanted “Fascism will not pass!”, “Russia, Novorossiya!”, “Glory to Donbass!”
“We stand for our president, for support of the Russian government and for a strong Russian state. We support Novorossiya and those of our guys who are there. Cossacks support Russia against Ukraine, against the fascist regime of Ukraine. We heard that there are organizations here that support the so-called Ukrainian regime, but we have the opposite opinion, we are for Russia!” Cossack Colonel Alexander Nikolaevich told a Navigator correspondent.
Strong young athletic guys agreed with him on their T-shirts with the following inscriptions: “Assault Combat Federation “Thunder”, “Healthy Nation”, “All-Great Don Army”, “Special Forces”.
After a 40-minute confrontation, those gathered safely dispersed. Maidan supporters were escorted from the picket by the police to a public transport stop to avoid clashes. But clashes could happen; some anti-rally participants brought chicken eggs with them.
