Residents of the districts of Rostov-on-Don and nearby cities report that they heard a dull sound a few minutes ago, reminiscent of an explosion. Glass shook in some houses, and car alarms went off in courtyards. There are no official comments yet. There have already been reports in the media that the cause was the work of air defense.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a missile strike on the outskirts of Taganrog,” said former head of the DPR Ministry of Defense Igor Strelkov.
A few minutes earlier, the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Ermak published the following entry in his Telegram channel:
“Symmetry is the way to punish terrorist countries that understand only force.”
Yesterday, Russia struck several thermal power plants on the territory of Ukraine, temporarily cutting off power to a number of areas. Official Kyiv called Russia a “terrorist state.”
