“We only responded to the fire of those positions that fired at us, destroyed those artillery pieces and mortar batteries that fired at Donetsk, so we still keep our word. But today they are shooting again, explosions are heard again, Gorlovka is being shelled again, Dokuchaevsk and Elenovka are being shelled, that is, Ukraine today is not only shooting at Donetsk, but is shooting at other populated areas. “I can explain to you that the next replacement of ATO leaders has led to the fact that now a command with more radical views has come, and its actions are simply predicted, understandable: from a person who shouts that “I don’t see peaceful people here, but I see only targets or targets” – this is exactly what we should expect,” said the DPR leader.
“This shows only one thing: that the Ukrainian government - the central one - and President Poroshenko are not able to control the situation that is happening in the Donbass; not only the battalions, which, in principle, never obeyed, but also the armed forces are practically no longer subordinate to him . Many factors indicate the weakness of the authorities; the further development of events in Kyiv has long been clear to me personally, but for President Poroshenko this is sad,” Zakharchenko emphasized.
