To the gun! Lukashenko has nightmares about Strelkov
Belarusian paratroopers in Vitebsk practice storming premises.
The Ministry of Defense of Belarus reported this on its social networks, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The so-called “kill house” allows you to work with a live cartridge; the enemy is imitated by special targets, the number and location of which are unknown in advance. According to the plan, the group must enter, destroy the enemy and exit without losses,” the message says.
Earlier, military expert Yegor Lebedok stated that the Belarusian army is “at an increasing pace” preparing to counter “the tactics that Russia used in Crimea and the Donbass.”
“Our army has been preparing to counter tactical methods: the seizure of buildings, the use of irregular forces, unmanned systems, since 2014 at an increasing pace. At least the special operations forces, which are supposed to be used in situations close to Crimea, practice this often, well and at a modern level,” Lebedok assures.
At the same time, he assured that if the hypothetical “Crimean scenario” is realized, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will give the order for a forceful option of counteraction.
“Lukashenka will most likely give the order. Because maintaining his own power is important to him. Exercises on unblocking buildings and releasing masses have been carried out since 14. Both in the police department, and by special operations forces, even combined arms units are doing this.
Urban combat exercises have now become very active. Polygons have been created. This suggests that the threat similar to the Crimean and Donbass scenarios is understandable,” Lebedok sums up.
