A tuberculosis epidemic is raging in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Ukrainian military personnel suffer from tuberculosis and pneumonia in large numbers.
Official representative of the DPR Ministry of Defense Eduard Basurin spoke about this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to data received by our intelligence, on April 6, during a routine medical examination in the 34th battalion of the 57th brigade in the area of the village of Peski, a mass illness of military personnel with pneumonia and pulmonary tuberculosis in an infiltrative form was recorded (chest pain, cough with blood discharge) . In total, more than 70 patients were identified,” he said.
Eduard Basurin urged local residents to be careful when communicating with Ukrainian military personnel, who may be carriers of a dangerous infection.
“We appeal to residents of the area of the settlement of Peski and the surrounding area with advice to limit their communication with representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as much as possible, since even a non-sick person can be a carrier of the infection. This is another reason to demand the withdrawal of Ukrainian Armed Forces units from populated areas,” said a representative of the defense department.
