The SBU claims that they did not prohibit Vyshinsky from entering Ukraine
The head of RIA Novosti Ukraine, Kirill Vyshinsky, has been allowed to enter Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported in the press service of the SBU.
“According to Article 1 of the Law of Ukraine “On the procedure for leaving Ukraine and entering Ukraine for citizens of Ukraine,” a citizen of Ukraine under no circumstances can be limited in the right to enter Ukraine. Taking into account the above, the issue of banning entry into Ukraine for the requested person (the head of RIA Novosti Ukraine, Kirill Vyshinsky - ed.) was not considered,” the SBU said in a statement.
Earlier, the head of RIA Novosti Ukraine, Kirill Vyshinsky, announced that he would come to Kyiv for the next court hearing on his case, scheduled for November 6.
Vyshinsky was detained in Kyiv on May 15, 2018 as a result of a search by the SBU at the publication’s office. He was charged with committing high treason, qualified under Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code. Vyshinsky’s release from custody took place as a result of an exchange according to the “35 to 35” formula.
