The SBU claims that they did not kill Zakharchenko
The head of the SBU Vasily Gritsak denies the involvement of the Ukrainian side in the death of the head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He stated this in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
“In my opinion, this is a predicted situation. A methodical purge is being carried out of all those who in 2014 contributed to the introduction of Russian troops into the Donbass, who contributed to the creation of pseudo-people's republics... We believe that a methodical purge is being carried out of those who know too much and who have blood on their hands, those who are not needed in the future as witnesses,” he told reporters on Saturday in Kyiv, commenting on the detention of Ukrainian saboteurs in Donetsk and the blame placed on the SBU for the murder of Zakharchenko.
He also noted: “What recourse do those who facilitated all these actions have? The first option: take these people to the territory of the Russian Federation and employ them there, and the second: eliminate those who gave them various criminal orders at one time.”
Gritsak also added: “Therefore, it does not surprise us at all that we are accused of all sins.”
