Military counterintelligence officers of the Security Service of Ukraine announced facts of recruitment of close relatives of Ukrainian military personnel by representatives of the FSB of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of State Security of the L/DPR - cases with the wives of three officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine became known, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
As the SBU press center reported on Wednesday, intelligence service operatives established that the wives of three officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were allegedly recruited while staying with their parents in the Russian Federation and on the territory of the LDPR.
The women there were allegedly subjected to psychological pressure, they were allegedly threatened with a ban on entry and exit, prison, and harassment from their parents. As a result, they gave written consent to confidential cooperation using pseudonyms.
“Employees of the Russian special services and their controlled puppet units also tried to obtain from women information about the military ranks, positions, location and official responsibilities of their husbands, as well as information about the military units where they serve, their involvement in the joint forces operation,” — the intelligence service reported.
It is noted that after returning to the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, the women cooperate with the investigation and give evidence regarding the circumstances of their recruitment and the tasks received.
