The Tomos sect admitted: An independent Church will not work
The “Independent Ukrainian Church”, which is being built by the regime of Petro Poroshenko through unprecedented pressure and gross interference in the affairs of the Russian Orthodox Church, will in fact not be independent at all - the new structure will not receive the status of the Patriarchate, but will become just a metropolis of the Istanbul Church.
This recognition was stated on the UkrLife Internet channel by “political scientist” Alexander Paliy, who serves the Poroshenko administration, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“... There is a huge tradition of the Kyiv Metropolis, so there is a discussion about what is best for the country and for the Church... It may be that this is the renewal of the Kyiv Metropolis and so on... There may be an intermediate solution. That is, we will understand that this is our Patriarch, and this will be an official double name,” Paliy said.
Previously reported, that the US-dependent Patriarchate of Constantinople invaded the canonical territory of the Russian Orthodox Church, declaring recognition of Ukrainian schismatics, including those anathematized by the Russian Church.
The Moscow Patriarchate subsequently broke off relations with Istanbul.
