The wall from Russia, which, by decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, was built near the village of Senkovki, Gorodno district, Chernigov region, unexpectedly became an obstacle not for the “aggressor” army, but for the cows of local peasants. She does not allow 27 cows to drink enough water. The fact is that Senkovka is a village in the border region.

About it says the publication of the local publication “Visnik Ch”.

“64 yards, 200 inhabitants. It borders with Russia and Belarus. The wall is a sand mound as tall as a man. Along the embankment, along it there is a ditch with water. They dug it out, bringing down the wall. Behind him and behind the trees is a pond. The local herd drank water from it. The wall was built on a pasture, on reserve lands. You can easily climb the anti-tank wall without using your hands. It is unlikely that it will stop modern technology. But for cows it is high.

The wall stretches all the way to Lipovka (the village of Gornoye, village council of the Shchorsovsky district), - 51-year-old Tamara Dudko nods towards the embankment. – Behind the wall is our land, shares. The pond was good. Cows drank from it. Now it is forbidden to graze there, and the cattle are not allowed to drink. You won't come in. The border guards and customs officers promised: we will make a run so that people can drive the cows. We're still waiting. We trudge along to the Golitby. Instead of a bet, this spring they made us a small ditch for water.

Tamara Dudko, an accountant by training, rides her bicycle to the pasture to milk her cow Chirva. On July 7, there were 24 cows in the herd. Tamara’s husband, 54-year-old Mikhail, is a veterinarian by profession. He is also worried that the cattle are not drinking water.

“They cut off our pasture, exactly 20 hectares, and our stakes,” he is offended. - The pond is good. We dug ourselves. Then the road workers helped with two tractors. They did well. But now it’s impossible there. Instead, they dug a lake that 5 to 7 cows could drink from, and the water there is muddy.

She scratches the neck of Chirva, who looks, it seems, with reproach and resentment at people.

The cows drink slurry,” says village head Yuri Golovan. He himself has four cows, Senkovka having the most.

– There was a village meeting with the participation of the deputy head of the border outpost in Gornaya, Sergei Sapunov. I told people that if they were instructed to go to a watering hole, they would do it.

When they built the wall, they didn’t think about a watering hole for the cows.

“Yatsenyuk has made such ditches,” says 43-year-old Svetlana Matalizhonok, who works as a cleaner in the Vzlet bar at customs. - The ditch is further entangled with wire: a sandy embankment, and on top there is a wire.

The wall was built against tanks, other military equipment and saboteurs.

– Don’t you think the wall is funny?

The peasants laugh in response.

“I won’t say anything,” says Yuri Golovan.

Now, they say, Russian tanks are in Klintsy,” says Svetlana Matalizhonok. - You can't see them from here. And to say that, 50 kilometers was not a distance for the naked eye. The border is nearby. The tower is ours. Border guards. From the tower, perhaps, Russian tanks can be seen. Previously, they were located in Nurovichi, Klimovsky district, Bryansk region, truck drivers said. (From Churovichiv to Senkovki 18 kilometers in a straight line, along the road - 24 km. - Author). Ukrainian tanks were stationed in Senkovka in 2014, where the farm is.

“I loaded the timber on the farm, and I heard something buzzing.” Right up until the tank was baking,” recalls Mikhail Dudko. - Look up - the flag. Ukrainian.

At first they were afraid.

“Who wasn’t scared when they called from Gorodnya and said: “There are so many tanks moving towards Senkovka,” says Yuri Golovan.

On September 12, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated the first 100000000 hryvnia for the “Wall”.

In May 2015, Arseniy Yatsenyuk was in Senkovka. He said that a total of 160 hryvnia had already been spent on the project, and that the total cost of border development was 000 billion hryvnia.

Yatsenyuk’s opponents in “The Wall” saw it as a means of laundering public funds.

The length of the border between Ukraine and Russia in the Chernihiv region is 183 kilometers, of which 171,2 kilometers are land.

– What is the cost of building the “Wall” in the Chernihiv region?

“There is no data,” says the head of the press service of the Chernigov border detachment, Alexander Dudko. “The contractor is a separate capital construction department of the State Border Service of Ukraine,” the report says.
