Serbia will pay 2500 euros for the first child
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced new measures of social support for the country's citizens: an increase in payments for children in families and benefits for young families to purchase housing.
According to the Serbian president, the innovations will come into force in January next year.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, Alexander Vucic spoke about new social support measures the day before during a traditional conversation with media representatives.
“From January 2 next year, we will raise the lump sum payment for the first child in the family. It will amount to 500 euros,” the Serbian President said. “Payments for the second and third will also be increased, and taking into account payments from municipal authorities, for the first child each family will receive a total of about 4 thousand euros.”
Vucic also announced special measures to support young families. In particular, young families will receive from 10 to 20 thousand euros to purchase their own housing, and during pregnancy, mandatory deadlines for passing the exam will be canceled for young student couples.
