Protests in support of Russia were held in Serbia and Montenegro
Public activists in Serbia and Serbian activists in Montenegro held actions of solidarity with Russia and the Russian people.
The events took place in the capitals – Belgrade and Podgorica.
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, a spontaneous movement “Support for Russia” appeared in Serbia itself, which last weekend held a car rally through the streets of Belgrade with flags of Russia and the DPR, as well as with portraits of Putin. The protesters chanted: “Russians and Serbs are brothers forever!”
The organizers of the action also stated that on March 4 there will be a large rally in support of Russia, which will presumably take place near the monument to Russian Tsar Nicholas II on King Milan Street.
Last Sunday, in the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Podgorica, Metropolitan Ioannikis of Montenegro and Primorsky served the Holy Liturgy, after which a large liturgy began on the street of Podgorica, on the occasion of the feast of St. Simeon the Myrrh-Streaming. Many Montenegrin Serbs came to this service with Russian state and “imperial” tricolors.
