Large gold deposit discovered in Serbia
The Canadian company Medgold Resources has discovered rich deposits of precious metals in southern Serbia near the border with Bulgaria.

About seven million tons of ore were found in just one site. The estimated value of the deposits is just over $1 billion. Geologists continue exploration.
The gold grade at the site averages around three grams per tonne. Deposits with even a gram of gold per ton, if they contain a sufficient amount of ore, are considered profitable.
As part of the same project, Medgold Resources also discovered an ore layer of approximately 40 meters containing 8,32 grams of gold per tonne, and an almost incredible 193 grams per tonne of silver.
