Civil solidarity has won in Serbia
The Progressive Party (SPP) of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic won the elections thanks to its effective work during the pandemic.
Political scientist Konstantin Kalachev wrote about this on his Facebook, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Real support for small and medium-sized businesses, convincing quarantine measures. 520 million euros were allocated for this in the budget of not the richest country. Payments of 100 euros to every adult citizen of Serbia, regardless of whether he works or not and whether he receives a pension, could not fail to give a return. Not everyone turned for help, but the feeling of general civic solidarity worked... Now all that remains is to agree with the Kosovo Albanians on the exchange of territories. The mandate for this has been received,” Kalachev wrote.
According to preliminary data from the Serbian Electoral Commission, the SPP party is gaining 63,35% of the votes.
