The department’s press service explained that these measures “are dictated by the need to prevent the Russian Federation from using information warfare and disinformation methods against Ukrainian citizens, and the spread of the ideology of misanthropy, fascism, xenophobia and separatism.”

The list, in particular, includes books by Donetsk science fiction writer Fyodor Berezin, who holds leadership positions in the self-proclaimed DPR - “War 2010. Ukrainian Front” (2009) and “Ukrainian Front. Red stars over Maidan” (2014).

Next on the list is the book by Georgy Savitsky “Battlefield - Ukraine. Broken Trident” and Gleb Bobrov’s work “Ukraine on Fire”. The list also includes books by philosopher, political scientist and sociologist Alexander Dugin “Ukraine. My war. Geopolitical Diary” and “Eurasian Revenge of Russia”. Also on the list are books such as: “Kyiv Kaput” by Eduard Limonov, “The Ukrainian Catastrophe. From American aggression to world war? - Adviser to Russian President Sergei Glazyev and many others.

According to the Ukrainian special services, these publications “contain certain signs of an encroachment on state sovereignty, the constitutional order, and territorial integrity.”

Distribution of such books on the territory of Ukraine is punishable by criminal liability under Art. 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.”
